Bring COP26 to London
Current
Your details
The UK Government has submitted a bid to host the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP26 (Conference of Parties) in 2020. This COP will set out the next stages of the Paris Agreement. We are currently in the final round against Italy, and expect to find out on June 27 who is successful. The purpose of this petition is to show the public’s support for hosting this conference.
To the House of Commons
The petition of the residents of the constituency of Cheltenham.
Declares that climate change is a serious and pressing concern and needs urgent attention from the Governments of the world; further that the UK has a leading role to play on tackling climate change in the future.
The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to ensure the UK hosts the upcoming COP 26 Climate Change Conference in 2020.
And the petitioners remain, etc.
