Alex is fighting to ensure that Cheltenham gets its fair share of electric vehicle charge points, after Gloucestershire County Council secured Government funding for a county-wide roll-out.
The Government's £20m On-Street Residential Charge Point Scheme aims to prioritise access to charging points for the one third of residents who do not have off-street parking and charging.
Cheltenham currently has just a few publicly funded EV chargepoints and Alex has set a target of 200 chargepoints to be delivered from this latest round of funding. He thinks that a significant proportion should be located in the new Arle Court Transport Hub, with the remainder fairly distributed around the town.
Residents are being asked to give their views on where they think charging points should be located and you can participate in the consultation by clicking HERE.
