Alex intervened on a constituent's behalf when equipment belonging to his offshore energy company was caught up in pre-export bureaucracy.
The machine (pictured) is a Remotely Operated Vehicle XLS26, and this model which was due to be transferred to offshore installation vessel Orion based near the Fecamp offshore wind farm.
With the clock ticking, Alex stepped in at short notice and spoke directly to HMRC to resolve the issue, and send it on its way. The equipment is now safely on board the installation vessel and is currently working on a wind farm off the Normandy coast!
