Alex has been clear that Stagecoach's bus service in Cheltenham is not performing at the level people rightly expect.
Now, following a direct challenge by Alex Chalk of the Chief Executive, Stagecoach have agreed to publish an action plan detailing how they will improve reliability and capacity on Cheltenham's bus routes.
Stagecoach previously agreed to Alex's calls to increase the number of drivers in Cheltenham. But Alex has challenged them to go further, pressing them to publish a new plan setting out how they will deliver a more reliable service for Cheltenham.
Alex made clear that they needed to ensure that the routes they are operating (including critical connections like the 94) are properly staffed. Too many local people are being let down by buses that are either late - or don't arrive at all.
Following a recent meeting with the Chief Executive, Stagecoach have now committed to publish their plan in the coming days.
Alex will update his constituents in due course.
