Alex visited Belmont Special School with the Minister for Children and Families, Will Quince MP.
During the visit, Alex met with pupils, staff and the headteacher who emphasised the importance of mental wellbeing and developing life skills.
Alex also saw the new £350,000 soft playroom that was recently completely. It is the biggest project in Belmont's history and enables Belmont to continue to be able to support some of Gloucestershire’s most vulnerable children and young people in the best possible way.
Alex said: "It was fantastic to visit Belmont School. There is such energy and positivity in this outstanding special school, and I am so grateful to the staff who work hard to give local children the best start in life. The new soft play area is amazing - almost at Cheltenham Play Farm standards!"
