A constituent contacted Alex asking for his help after the disability hoists at Leisure@ swimming pool had been broken for some time. This meant that those in wheelchairs were unable to go swimming.
Following an intervention by Alex, the Cheltenham Trust have repaired the disability hoists, which are now fully operational.
Alex said: "I know how important swimming can be for people with certain disabilities so I was relieved when the Cheltenham Trust agreed to my request to urgently repair the disability hoists so people could return to the water as soon as possible."
