Alex paid his respects to Jewish Servicemen and women as he laid a wreath at the annual Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women parade at the Cenotaph.
Alex joined 1,500 soldiers, veterans and their families to commemorate Jewish men and women who gave their lives for our country.
Writing on Facebook, Alex said: "It was an honour to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph alongside Mervyn Kersh - who landed on Gold Beach in 1944, and later tended to the survivors of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
"When I laid my wreath I thought, as ever, of the many hundreds of Cheltenham residents who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country. We will never forget."
