As part of his 'grot spot' campaign, Alex has pressed CBC and GCC to address local eyesores including potholes, blocked drains and graffiti.
Following Alex's reports since the last update, the councils have
- Resurfaced St Paul's Road
- Resurfaced the Fairmont Road footway
- Sent 'find and fix' pothole teams to Old Gloucester Road, Priors Road, Gloucester Road and PE Way
- Removed debris and leaves from gullies in Charlton Kings
- Agreed to resurface the following roads this financial year: Hartlebury Way, Hermitage Street, part of Horsefair Street and the back of Montpellier Terrace
Since the last update, Alex has reported the following and is waiting for an update from the councils:
- Graffiti on utility box at the corner of Liddington Close and Leckhampton Road
- Graffiti on the side of Arle Road Bridge
- Graffiti on the telecomms box by Specsavers on the High Street
- Graffiti on utility box close to Boots Corner
- Weeds on New Street
- Weeds on Arle Road Railway Bridge
- Weeds on Chelsea Close
- Debris in gutters on Chelsea Close
- Debris and litter in gutters on Pittville Lawn
- Litter on Lypiatt Road by Andover Road Junction
- Debris and leaves on Copt Elm Road
- Weeds and broken glass on Clyde Cresent
