As part of his 'grot spot' campaign, Alex has pressed CBC and GCC to address local eyesores including potholes, blocked drains and graffiti.
Following Alex's reports since the last update, the councils have:
- Completed the A435 Charlton Hill safety improvements ahead of schedule
- Repaired potholes on Giffard Way
- Repaired a manhole cover on Shurdington Road (Severn Trent, not council)
- Agreed to resurface Hermitage Street on 4-5 October
- Undertaken patching works on Gladstone Road
- Undertaken patching works on Church Street, Charlton Kings
- Agreed to inspect graffiti in the toilets in Imperial Gardens
- Agreed to inspect overgrown weeds in Blenheim Square
Since the last update, Alex has reported the following and is waiting for an update:
- A misspelt road sign on St George’s Road
- A broken manhole cover on Swindon Road (Severn Trent)
