Alex was invited to speak at the unveiling ceremony at GlosCol in Hesters Way for the £23.6m road improvement works in West Cheltenham.
Alex helped to secure the funding from the Government in 2017, as part of his cyber vision for Cheltenham from then-local Government minister Sajid Javid. The money is in addition to a further £3m invested by the Government in GlosCol's Advanced Digital Academy on its Hesters Way campus.
The roads scheme is crucial for the future cyber park, as it builds capacity in road network and improves access from the M5.
Alex said: "My longstanding belief inn 'levelling up' Cheltenham's deprived neighbourhoods was a key driver for me in setting out the cyber vision back in 2014. Cheltenham's cyber park, located next to Hesters Way, will be a powerful signal to young people of the opportunities available to those who are prepared to work hard."
