Concerned over recent weeks about the increase in litter, graffiti, weeds in Cheltenham, Alex has relaunched his 'grot-spot' campaign to tackle local eyesores. In the past he scored a number of successes, from getting graffiti removed to replacing bent street railings.
Securing ultrafast broadband for Cheltenham has long been a key personal priority for Alex and he has spoken up repeatedly in Parliament about this issue as well as hauling senior management of Openreach and others to Westminster for ‘robust’ conversations.
After months of campaigning and lobbying, Alex was delighted when Cheltenham A&E department re-opened on Wednesday 9 June.
Alex has spoken to the Trust leadership, and it has been confirmed to him that what is reopening is the same, consultant-led service that was there before.
