Alex has announced the introduction of a new law that will see harmful content filmed inside prisons removed from social media platforms more quickly – shielding victims from further trauma and protecting prison security.

The Chedworth Surgical Unit contains two new state-of-the-art operating theatres and the unit will treat an extra 1,500-plus patients a year.

Alex's passion for Cheltenham to look its best is well known. So he has ramped up his 2024 grot spot campaign with community sessions to tackle the build up of unsightly impacted mud, weeds and litter.

It's Race Week! The eyes of the nation are once again on Cheltenham as we host racegoers from across the British Isles at the greatest racecourse in the world.

Alex was delighted to support Cheltenham YMCA's Annual Sleep Easy fundraiser by volunteering at the soup kitchen.  A huge £10,000 was raised.

Alex is introducing a new law to make it easier for members of the public to secure the financial backing of third parties when launching complex claims against wealthy corporations.

One of Alex's duties as Lord Chancellor is to swear in barristers as King's Counsel, in a ceremony in Westminster Hall.

Alex was delighted to meet Cheltenham's Amy Brown, recently crowned 'Apprentice of the Year' at the Apprenticeship National Awards.

Amy, who attended Bournside and GlosCol, decided that university was not for her and that she wanted to qualify in a trade and learn skills on the job.

Alex has announced that foreign national shoplifters, thieves and drug dealers are to be deported rather than prosecuted.
